Anniston Army Depot receives nearly $1 billion boost under federal legislation

U.S. Representative Mike Rogers has announced that more than $949 million will be allocated for military construction projects at the Anniston Army Depot, following the passage of the One Big, Beautiful Bill Act. The funding includes $495 million for a Component Remanufacturing Facility, $280.6 million for a Small Arms Warehouse, $69.5 million for a Vehicle Paint Shop, $60 million to replace Buildings 293, 294, and 295, and $44 million for a Guided Missile Maintenance Building.

In addition to these projects, $68 million has been designated for designing the new Space Command Headquarters in Huntsville. Rogers also secured an additional $82 million through the appropriations process for an access control point and a general-purpose warehouse at Anniston Army Depot.

“I am proud to announce over $949 million in funding for Anniston Army Depot,” said Rep. Rogers. “This funding from President Trump’s One Big, Beautiful Bill Act is critical to ensuring continued success at Anniston Army Depot. I am also excited to see $68 million going to Redstone Arsenal for the design of the new, state-of-the-art Space Command Headquarters. President Trump is delivering for our national security and delivering for the state of Alabama.”

Mike Rogers currently serves as U.S. Representative for Alabama’s 3rd district and has held this position since 2003 after succeeding Bob Riley. Before his time in Congress, he served in the Alabama House of Representatives from 1994 to 2002 and on the Calhoun County Commission from 1987 to 1990. Born in Hammond, Indiana in 1958, Rogers resides in Weaver and holds degrees from Jacksonville State University (BA) and Birmingham School of Law (JD).
