JACKSONVILLE – Jacksonville State will open up its 2023 baseball season on Friday, February 17 against Southeastern Conference foe Georgia in Athens, Georgia.

Jax State’s veteran head coach Jim Case enters his 22nd season in charge of the program. He joins the Voice of the Gamecocks Mike Parris to preview the upcoming season.

Following the three-game series with the Bulldogs of UGA, the Gamecocks will face another set of Bulldogs for their first midweek contest with a trip to Samford on Tuesday, February 21. JSU’s home opener is set for Friday, February 24 in the first of three games on Rudy Abbott Field at Jim Case Stadium against the Salukis of Southern Illinois.

For the third consecutive season, Jax State is offering a pair of season ticket packages.  Reserved premium chair-back seating behind the plate and along the third base line are available for $225.  General admission season ticket packages are priced at $100.  The general admission season tickets are standing room-only along the concourse behind the reserved seats.  You can also bring a chair or stand on the grass berm and in the outfield.

Season ticket packages for JSU’s faculty and staff are also available for $150 in the reserved sections, while general admission is $75.  JSU employees are limited to two season tickets.
Another option for Gamecock fans will be hospitality area at Jim Case Stadium.  Tickets in the climate-controlled hospitality room are on sale for $350.  Fans will have access to a unique view of the field along with being served popcorn and sodas.
