Mike Rogers, U.S. Congressman representing Alabama’s 3rd district since 2003, recently highlighted local achievements and community leadership in a series of social media posts.
On August 11, 2025, Rogers expressed appreciation for discussions about his home state, writing, “Always a great time when I get to talk all things Alabama with my colleagues! Big thanks to @BCAToday for hosting us!”
Later that same day, he commended an educational institution in the region by stating, “Central Alabama Community College is doing big things for their students!” on August 11, 2025.
On August 13, 2025, Rogers recognized local government leadership in Lincoln: “Lincoln, Alabama has thrived under the leadership of Mayor Watson. Our entire community is grateful for his service, and it was my honor to present him with a submission into the congressional record recognizing his accomplishments.”
Rogers has represented Alabama’s 3rd District in Congress since succeeding Bob Riley in 2003. Before joining Congress, he served in the Alabama House of Representatives from 1994 to 2002 and on the Calhoun County Commission from 1987 to 1990. Born in Hammond, Indiana in 1958 and currently residing in Weaver at age 64, Rogers holds degrees from Jacksonville State University and Birmingham School of Law.
