Mike Rogers, a U.S. Congressman representing Alabama’s 3rd district since 2003, recently shared updates on his activities with local students and business leaders through several posts on social media.

On February 18, 2026, Rogers highlighted his engagement with young learners by posting: “It was my privilege to read to the bright students at Dearmanville Elementary School today! The future of #AL03 is in good hands!”

The following day, he underscored the role of local commerce organizations in supporting area businesses. On February 19, Rogers wrote: “Our local chambers of commerce are a large part of why businesses have thrived in #AL03. I had the honor of speaking to several chambers in the area at an event hosted by @JSUNews to discuss how we can work together for our communities.”

Later that same day, Rogers described his visit to Gadsden State Community College. He stated: “Gadsden State is educating the next leaders of the manufacturing industry right here in #AL03! Loved touring the campus and seeing these students hard at work.”

Rogers has been serving as representative for Alabama’s 3rd District since replacing Bob Riley in 2003. Before his tenure in Congress, he served in the Alabama House of Representatives from 1994 to 2002 and on the Calhoun County Commission from 1987 to 1990. Born in Hammond, Indiana, in 1958 and currently residing in Weaver, Rogers earned his BA from Jacksonville State University in 1981 and a JD from Birmingham School of Law ten years later.
