Mike Rogers, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Alabama’s 3rd district, recently shared updates and community news on his social media account.
On April 13, Rogers expressed support for Jacksonville State University’s bowling team, posting “So beyond proud of @jaxstatebowl! #StayCocky https://t.co/7eFI4eQiQw”.
Two days later, on April 15, he commented on the national Tax Day and referenced former President Trump’s policies: “It’s Tax Day, and many families in Alabama are feeling relief due to President Trump’s tax cuts for working families! https://t.co/oIvg4g9tli”.
On April 16, Rogers reminded constituents about an arts initiative: “Today is the last day to drop off your Congressional Art Competition submissions at the Isabel Anderson Comer Museum & Arts Center! More details at the link below: https://t.co/C4Jd0rF5BW”.
Rogers has served in Congress since 2003 after succeeding Bob Riley. He previously held positions in the Alabama House of Representatives from 1994 to 2002 and on the Calhoun County Commission from 1987 to 1990. Born in Hammond, Indiana in 1958, Rogers currently resides in Weaver. He graduated from Jacksonville State University with a BA in 1981 and later earned a JD from Birmingham School of Law in 1991.
