Mike Rogers, a longstanding member of the U.S. Congress representing Alabama’s 3rd district since 2003, has recently shared several updates via social media. Rogers, who succeeded Bob Riley in this role, previously served in the Alabama House of Representatives and on the Calhoun County Commission. Born in Hammond, Indiana, he currently resides in Weaver and holds degrees from Jacksonville State University and Birmingham School of Law.
On May 11, 2025, Rogers extended his wishes to mothers within his district by quoting Proverbs 31:25: “Wishing all of the mothers in #AL03 a very Happy Mother’s Day! Proverbs 31:25: ‘She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.'”
Two days later, on May 12, Rogers engaged with local business leaders through an event organized by the Alabama Business Coalition. He expressed his commitment to supporting local enterprises by stating: “Happy to speak with the good people with the Alabama Business Coalition to discuss keeping Alabama businesses thriving!”
On May 14, Rogers voiced his support for law enforcement officers after voting for legislation he co-sponsored. His statement emphasized his ongoing dedication to law enforcement during his tenure in Washington: “Honored to vote in favor of legislation I cosponsored in support of local law enforcement officers on the House Floor. For as long as I am here in Washington, I will be a staunch supporter of all law enforcement.”
