There were four businesses registered in cities across Talladega County in week ending Nov. 5, 2022

There were four businesses that registered in cities within Talladega County in the week ending Nov. 5, 2022, according to the Alabama Secretary of State.

This is 33 percent more than the week before, when three businesses were registered.

Lincoln registered the most businesses in Talladega County.

More than 99 percent of Alabama's businesses are considered small, with more than 47 percent of Alabama's employees working for a small business, according to the U.S. Small Business Administration.

A Civic Economics study found $100 spent at a locally-owned business puts $47 back into the local economy while the total is just $13 for non-local businesses.
