Census Bureau: 79% of people in Talladega County were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 81,850 citizens living in Talladega County in 2021, 79% were old enough to vote, equating to 64,623 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 31,028 were male, constituting 48%, and 33,595 were female, making up 52%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Talladega County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 77.5%.
