Bipartisan HASC delegation emphasizes U.S.-Israel-Jordan ties during visit

Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, Mike Rogers (R-AL), along with U.S. Representatives Seth Moulton (D-MA), Ro Khanna (D-CA), and Jimmy Panetta (D-CA), led a bipartisan congressional delegation to Israel and Jordan. During their visit, they met with key leaders in both countries.

In Israel, the delegation held discussions with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. They emphasized the strength of the U.S.-Israel relationship, affirming support for Israel's right to self-defense. The delegation also highlighted the importance of facilitating humanitarian aid into Gaza to address ongoing challenges and contribute to regional stability.

In Jordan, meetings were conducted with His Majesty King Abdullah II and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II. The delegation reinforced the significance of the U.S.-Jordan relationship in countering terrorism and maintaining stability in the region.

The group also engaged with U.S. servicemembers stationed in the area, acknowledging their efforts in defending national interests.

The statement from the delegation underscored that "countering terrorism and deterring Iran requires strong coordination with our regional partners." They stressed that continued support for both Israel and Jordan is essential for promoting safety and stability in the region.
