Talladega leaders are meeting with Opportunity Alabama (OPAL), a nonprofit initiative dedicated to connecting investors with investable assets in Alabama’s Opportunity Zones, today at First Bank of Alabama. By using a data-driven approach, OPAL brings investors, opportunities, communities and key institutional supporters together for the purpose of generating real returns while improving economic vitality and quality of life in low-income and underrepresented communities across Alabama.

The Founder and CEO of Opportunity Alabama, Inc, Alex Flachsbart, and Main Street Alabama Field Services Specialist Tanya Maloney are discussing opportunities and ideas with City Manager Seddrick Hill Sr., First Bank of Alabama President Chad Jones, AIDB President Dr. John Mascia, incoming Talladega College President Dr. Gregory J. Vincent, Councilman Joe Power, Hall of Heroes Museum Curator Jimmy Williams, Talladega College Vice President for Institutional Advancement Dr. Kristie Kenney, entrepreneur Kevin Smith, Michael O’Brian Jr. and other community leaders.
