The University of Alabama at Birmingham Campus Recreation Center is offering fun ways to keep children active during this winter break. URec Winter Camp 2022 will be offered over four days and will provide a fun and educational experience for little Blazers.

Children will have the opportunity to explore adventure sports, create exciting crafts, dive into aquatic activities or participate in the various other activities that the UAB Campus Recreation has to offer — all under one roof. The camp schedule is from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and is available to children 5-12 years of age. Campers will need to provide their own lunch and snack.

The cost per day for UAB affiliates is $40 per child, and $50 for non-UAB affiliates. The cost for the full week for UAB affiliates is $140 per child, and $160 for non-UAB affiliates. A 25 percent deposit is required for any full week enrollments, with full payments due the Monday before camp begins. There is a 5 percent discount for enrolling multiple children.

The dates for the winter break day camps are Monday, Dec. 19, through Thursday, Dec. 22.

Registration for all camps closes one week prior to the camp date, or once camper capacity is reached. Campers will need to have a registration form completed and signed to be registered and to make a deposit. Only one form per family is required. To download a camper form, click here.
