UAB Service Learning and Undergraduate Research Summer Expo 2022 is July 25-29

The University of Alabama at Birmingham will be holding its summer Service Learning and Undergraduate Research Expo from Monday, July 25, through Friday, July 29. The expo, held every semester, showcases the profound research done by UAB students, while celebrating excellence in research, creative activity, scholarship and academic endeavors of undergraduate students.

Participation in the expo strengthens students’ presentation skills and is an opportunity to engage and exchange research experiences and ideas. Participants also receive feedback from both peers and faculty.

Expo dates and events include:

  • July 18: Abstracts due. All presenters must be registered at this point.
  • July 25: All presentations must be uploaded. Online judging opens.
  • July 27: Oral presentations from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • July 28: Poster presentations from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
    • 9 a.m.: Keynote address
  • July 29: Online judging closes.
  • 5: Winners announced. 

The summer 2022 expo will be held in person at UAB’s National Alumni Society House, as well as with a virtual component. Registration is required for virtual attendance.
