Cost of college went up for all students at Talladega College

Tuition and fees rose 10 percent for 2018-19 at Talladega College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Alabama students paid $13,571 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $1,231 more than the $12,340 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 100 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 157 students received grants or scholarships totaling $1.2 million and 157 students took out student loans totaling more than $1.6 million.

Including all undergraduates (1,212), 752 students used grants or scholarships totaling $8.5 million, and 646 students took out $6 million in federal student loans.
